Who we are

This website is run by Barton Waxes (ABN 12 969 397 268), Sydney NSW, Australia. You can contact us about privacy at hello@bartonwaxes.com.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, company, email, country, phone number and message.
  • Request Barton at Your Supplier form and monthly draw: your name, email, Instagram handle (optional), country, the supplier you nominate, the waxes you’re interested in, your message and whether you agree to marketing emails.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: we use Google Analytics 4, PostHog, Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure site visits and form submissions and to show and measure our ads. These tools set cookies and collect information such as your device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. PostHog is a product analytics service, hosted on PostHog’s US cloud, that helps us understand how visitors use the site and which forms they submit. The form events we send to it don’t include the names, emails or other details you type into our forms. The site also uses essential cookies to keep it secure and working (for example, for logins and the shopping cart).

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiries.
  • To contact the suppliers you nominate about stocking Barton Waxes.
  • To run the monthly nomination draw and contact winners.
  • To send marketing emails, but only if you leave the consent box ticked. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the site is used and to run and measure our advertising.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and our advertising, including Google, Meta and PostHog. These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.

You can limit cookies through your browser settings, block PostHog by using a tracker blocker, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta accounts.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires, and then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent to marketing, by emailing hello@bartonwaxes.com. If you’re in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for marketing and cookies, and on our legitimate interests for replying to enquiries, contacting suppliers and running the draw.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please email us first at hello@bartonwaxes.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
